Description
Bonnardot Molland is an aged white wine made from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Aligoté grape varieties by the Domaine Bonnardot winery.
Molland is a small 60 year old vineyard in the village of Bonnencontre, east of Beaune in the Burgundy region of France. It is the last parcel of a vineyard that covered an area of 120 hectares.
This terroir is located at an altitude of 190 metres above sea level and its soil is clay-sandy with pebbles, which brings many qualities to this excellent wine.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and on arrival at the winery are sorted on the table and then slowly and delicately pressed into whole bunches. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts in double barrels without sulphites or other additives.
The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels. Bonnardot Molland is bottled unfiltered, unclarified and without added sulphites.
Taste
Bonnardot Molland is a white wine that reveals fruity aromas. On the palate, the wine is smooth and fruity, with the same fruit flavours as on the nose, with a relatively short length and adequate acidity.
A white wine with a deep style
Bonnardot Molland is a white wine made with the least possible intervention with the Chardonnay and Aligoté grape varieties and characterised by a great aromatic and gustatory complexity.
In the gastronomic field this wine is recommended to accompany dishes with creamy cheeses and white meats.
