Description
Oriol Artigas La Rumbera is a white wine made from Pansa Blanca grapes from different vineyards that vary in age between 35 and 80 years old.
The cultivation of this fruit takes place in soils of white and pink granite sands with altitudes ranging between 100 and 350 metres.
It is one of the first wines produced by this winery, and it is also considered to be its flagship, as it is a wine that fully defines the philosophy of its creator, as it maintains the original techniques in its production.
Winemaking
To make Oriol Artigas La Rumbera wine, the harvesting procedures are carried out manually. Then, only 80% of the grapes are destemmed and pressed. The remaining 20% are macerated with their skins to start the fermentation process for 5 days.
The fermentation process is carried out in stainless steel tanks with the use of indigenous yeasts. Once fermented, the wine is aged on its fine lees for a period of 9 months. Finally, the wine is bottled without clarifying or adding sulphur in the process.
Taste
Oriol Artigas La Rumbera is characterised by its freshness, with the presence of ripe white fruit and some hints of flowers standing out among its aromas and flavours. On contact with the palate, you will notice a subtle and long sensation, a product of the Mediterranean salinity, like all Oriol wines.
A friendly and easy to drink wine
Its lightness is its hallmark. It is ideal for pairing with smoked meats, white fish, appetizers, sushi or any dish that includes rice as a main ingredient.
The floral nuances and the characteristic salinity make this wine an invitation to taste a unique experience.
