Free run fermented with indigenous yeasts and skin maceration for 8 days in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 9 months in used French oak barrels. Bottled unfined, unfiltered and without added sulphites.
Description
The Marzagana Cielo y Tierra wine is an oenological jewel produced at Finca La Marzagana, in Tenerife. This wine, 100% Syrah, is a natural, organic and biodynamic product, the result of the efforts of a group of young winemakers who have rediscovered and embraced the traditional methods of wine production, respecting the environment and preserving the native grape varieties of the Canary Islands.
Winemaking
The winemaking process begins with a manual harvest, followed by pressing and destemming. Fermentation is carried out for 10 days with the skins, followed by a new pressing and spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks without temperature control. Ageing is carried out for 9 months in oak barrels, without oenological additives, without filtering or fining, and bottled by gravity in a descending moon in late spring. Only 550 bottles are produced, which makes it an exclusive and highly appreciated wine.
Taste
Marzagana Cielo y Tierra is distinguished by its exceptional flavour, a characteristic that makes it an outstanding choice for wine lovers. On the nose, it displays aromas of cherries and ripe red fruit, with a hint of spice. On the palate, there are juicy red fruit flavours and round, silky tannins, typical of Syrah grown in volcanic soils. This wine offers perfect balance and a long, lingering finish that highlights its unique and authentic character. It is a wine best enjoyed at a temperature of 13 to 15 degrees, allowing its qualities to fully express themselves and offering an unforgettable sensory experience.
