Description
Manar dos Seixas is a white wine produced by the Gallina de Piel winery under the D.O. Ribeiro in Galicia. It has been elaborated mainly with selected clusters of Treixadura grapes and a minimum contribution of Albariño, Godello and white Loureiro.
The grapes come from a single vineyard with an average age of 25 to 30 years located in the Miño valley. The soils where the grapes for Manar dos Seixas grow are deep and quite sandy on the surface.
Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and the vinification process is carried out with a cold pre-fermentation maceration. The wine is made in stainless steel tanks of 5,000 litres with a double jacket and controlled temperature. Ageing is carried out with an ageing process of between 6 and 8 months on fine lees.
Taste
The palate is fresh, light, fruity, citrus and floral notes with just the right touch of acidity combined with a pleasant flavour.

Manar dos Seixas is an incredible white wine that represents a tribute to the Galician origins of David Seijas. His surname comes from the word Seixas (from which Seijas is derived), and in Portuguese it means "brave pigeon". Moreover, the Ribeiro area is full of thermal baths or burgas that spring from the ground.
In gastronomic terms, it is the ideal accompaniment for meals with fish, Galician octopus and seafood.
