Description
The Goyo García Viadero winery, located in Ribera del Duero, produces some of the best natural wines in Spain, with the Goyo García Viadero Finca Los Quemados wine being one of the best known and most highly valued by wine connoisseurs.
All the wines produced in this winery are made using traditional methods of cultivation, and in the winery, all the necessary processes are carried out with the minimum intervention and without the use of chemicals.
Winemaking
Goyo García Viadero Finca Los Quemados is a single varietal wine made only with Tempranillo grapes, harvested from old vines over 50 years old, grown on red sand and pebble soil in the vineyards of Villanueva de Gumiel in Burgos, at an altitude of 900 metres above sea level.
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, after which the bunches are destemmed by hand and gently pressed. The resulting must is then fermented with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks where it macerates for three months.
The wine is then aged for a year in French oak barrels, which are between eight and ten years old. Finally, the wine is bottled without filtering or fining.
Taste
The natural red wine Goyo García Viadero Finca Los Quemados has a red colour with purplish reflections. It is a calm wine, with predominant notes of red fruits, and balsamic and herbal touches. It is a fresh and crisp wine with a smooth and balanced flavour.
