Description

Françoise Bedel L'Âme de la Terre Extra Brut champagne stands out for its complexity, strength and intensity. Produced from grapes selected and harvested from old vineyards located on clay soils with a calcareous base, this champagne is composed of 90% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Meunier and 5% Pinot Noir. The grapes come from vineyards ranging in age from 30 to 60 years old, which gives a particular richness and depth to the wine.

Winemaking

Fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in stainless steel tanks (80%) and oak barrels (20%). This cuvée undergoes 100% complete malolactic fermentation. The wine then matures in the bottle with its lees for more than 4 years, to complete a second fermentation in the bottle and the formation of foam. The final dosage is less than 4 g/l, which classifies it as an Extra Brut.

Taste

Françoise Bedel L'Âme de la Terre Extra Brut is a slightly oxidative, complex and rich champagne. Its golden colour is complemented by notes of ripe apples, sherry, honey, caramel and damp wood. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, multi-layered, balanced and with a lingering aftertaste. This champagne is not just a drink, but an experience that encapsulates the essence and soul of the land of the Champagne region.
