Description
The Pampaneo Airén Natural wine of the Esencia Rural Winery is an orange specimen that not only denotes the balance in its flavour, but also the subtlety that differentiates it from others of this type.
It is made from the processing of 100% Airén grapes, which is why it is classified as a single varietal wine. The fruit comes from pre-phylloxera vines grown in sandy limestone soils.
Winemaking
The Pampaneo Airen Natural wine is an orange wine that follows the philosophy of the Esencia Rural winery, guaranteeing that all the processes to which the fruit is subjected are 100% natural and ensure the minimum intervention of the fruit, resulting in unique examples.
The winemaking process begins with the cultivation of the fruit and then the harvesting phase, using artisanal techniques to ensure that the grapes are harvested at their optimum ripeness.
The grapes are then completely destemmed and macerated for 2 months in stainless steel tanks. After that, they undergo alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
Finally, the fruit is gently pressed and the resulting must is aged in earthenware jars. It is then bottled without filtering or adding sulphites.
Taste
The Pampaneo Airen Natural wine of Esencia Rural is a wine with a particular aroma of white fruit, resulting in a balanced, dry and rounded mouthfeel, with a medium length on the palate.
A very subtle orange wine
The orange tonality of this wine is so imposing that you could imagine that it is a complex wine, however, its flavour and permanence are very subtle, being classified as fine and smooth. It is an excellent alternative to share with seafood, poultry and white fish dishes.
