The Danjou Banessy winery, located in the Roussillon region of France, produces intense and pure wines, such as Danjou Banessy La Truffière Blanc, which is perfect to accompany poultry and fish.
The brothers Sébastien and Benoit, have made a great effort to maintain the legacy of this family winery, and work the soils under biodynamic principles, respecting the land and its natural cycles, which allows them to obtain the best wines of the area.
Winemaking
Danjou Banessy La Truffière Blanc is a single varietal wine, made only with very rare grey Cariñena vines from old vineyards of about 80 years old. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the whole bunch is pressed, but with limited skin contact.
Alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and the wine ages for almost two years in used French oak barrels.
Taste
Danjou Banessy La Truffière Blanc has a white fruit flavour. It is a rather woody mineral wine. It has a pleasant freshness and is very aromatic with floral and herbal hints. It also leaves certain salty notes.
