Description
Avan Oak is a red wine produced by Bodegas y Viñedos Juan Manuel Burgos, a winery located in Fuentelcésped, Burgos, within the prestigious D.O. Ribera del Duero. This wine is made from young Tempranillo vines between 10 and 20 years old, grown in a Mediterranean climate with a continental character, marked by seasons with extreme temperatures.
Winemaking
The vineyards are treated in a natural way, following lunar cycles, and during vinification a minimum addition of sulphites is used, thus maintaining the pure essence of the grapes. The grapes are harvested by hand, with a rigorous selection on a shaking table to ensure only the best grapes. The wine is then fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks and finally aged for 4 months in French oak barrels, giving it a subtle ageing character. This wine is not filtered before bottling, preserving its personality and freshness.
Taste
Avan Oak is a wine that stands out for its fruity and youthful character. Its cherry red colour, with violet hues, invites you to enjoy it even before tasting it. On the nose, it displays an attractive range of ripe red fruit aromas such as cherries and strawberries, intertwined with light spicy touches that add complexity and depth.
