The 2022 Parcela Eiraverda is a subtle and elegant Albariño with an ethereal character of lightness and subtleness, moderate ripeness and alcohol (12.4%), lemony freshness and a vibrant palate with effervescent acidity (it has 7.6 grams and a very low pH). The wine developed a thin layer of flor, but its aromatic effect is subtler than in the Ollos Brancos from this same vintage that I tasted next to it. It comes from a plot in the zone of Rías Baixas, a 60-year-old vineyard in Xil (in the Salnés Valley) on decomposed granite soils. It fermented and matured in barrels for 10 months. It's a different, characterful Albariño that was bottled with a very low dose of sulfur (like all the wines here). 1,700 bottles were filled in October 2023.
