The 2022 Paso Las Mañas was selected from the 3.9 hectares of Tempranillo and has similar parameters as the 2021, but the feeling is quite different. This is more serious, slightly riper (but with the balance the whole range showed), juicy and young, a little closed, with fine tannins. 7,000 bottles were filled in December 2023.

Description
Paso Las Mañas 2019 is a red wine made from grapes carefully planted at the altitudes of Samaniego, where the climatic conditions bring a special character to each wine.
It has been planted for 19 years, which means that this vintage is made with Tempranillo from a vineyard located at high altitude, endowed with marked and pleasant properties.
Winemaking
The grapes used to select the grapes for this wine are harvested entirely by hand in 20 kg crates, so it is a meticulous process.
Paso Las Mañas is characterized by its fermentation process, as it first undergoes alcoholic fermentation and then undergoes malolactic fermentation, which is done in two-year-old French oak barrels for 12 and 16 months.
Taste
It has a balanced flavor, loaded with Tempranillo, which gives it diversity and the aging generated by the new wood.
Its texture is delicate and lingers in the mouth thanks to its fleshy intensity. It is identified by its fruity aroma and spicy lactic tones.
Careful selection of its grapes
The grapes involved in this red wine are selected in boxes, then destemmed and vatted in stainless steel tanks. As it comes from considerable altitudes, the freshness remains even after its alteration and is transferred to the wood which gives the wine an aged and interesting touch.
The climate surrounding the fruit is Atlantic with Mediterranean dominance, which explains why Paso Las Mañas has the Rioja Alavesa qualification.
