A new dry white wine here, the 2017 Istiu is a 50/50 blend of Xarello and Malvasía de Sitges that fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in two used barriques (third year) for eight months. This feels more like a white Burgundy than an aromatic Malvasía, more in the style of the Xarello from the house but giving it something different that's precise and clean, not aromatic. The palate is electric, with citrus acidity that makes you salivate and moderate alcohol (13%). This is still an almost experimental wine. But there is no more Malvasía, so they cannot grow in volume keeping the same blend. Delicious. 760 bottles were filled in May 2018. This was first produced in 2016.
